Event Details

Date: August 24, 2024 (Alternate Date: September 21, 2024) 9:00 am-12:00 pm

Location: From the north side of West Liberty Park (Lions Ball Park on Maps) to Mad River Gorge Park in Clark County, covering 18 or 19 access points into the river.

Purpose

Unfortunately, not everyone does their part, and the river and its surrounding areas are littered with trash. Our goal is to host a cleanup with support from as many outdoor groups, organizations, and businesses as possible to help keep the Mad River a special place for all who enjoy time on the river.

How You Can Help

We need various supplies and resources to ensure the success of this cleanup effort. Here are some things that would be greatly appreciated:

• Heavy-duty trash bags
• Protective gloves for volunteers
• Hi-vis vests
• First aid equipment
• Water/drinks
• Snacks for volunteers
• Discounted lunches at your establishment for volunteers 
• Pickup truck beds for transporting filled trash bags and larger items
• Help spreading the word about the event and promote it through social media and other outlets
• Access to a dumpster or rental and delivery/pickup of a dumpster 

Your support and participation will have a significant impact on our cleanup and conservation efforts. I look forward to hearing from you soon about what role your organization may be able to play in the cleanup. If either of the dates is better for you or your organization, please let me know. We’d like to pick the date that works best for most people.
