The Mentoring Committee is very energized and dedicated to the success of the Mentoring Program. Our hope and goal is that this will become a successful program and help lead to sustainment of the club and fly fishing in general. Mentees are not just limited to new members. You may sign up as both a Mentor if you are willing to help others and/or as a Mentee if there is something you would like help with.

What is an MVFF Mentor?
A mentor is a person willing to freely give of themselves and their time to be a dedicated coach/adviser/role model willing to invest in the mentee’s personal growth and goals.

What is an MVFF Mentee?
A mentee is a person who has identified a specific goal or goals and seeks the advice/counsel of those more experienced to help them achieve their identified goal(s).

We have set up a Gmail account to allow for better continuity and help with the success of the program. You may email the Mentoring Committee at mvffmentor@gmail.com for information on the program.

The links to the new sign-up pages below are now active. You can enroll as a Mentee requesting mentorship or as a Mentor offering to help in one or more areas.

The Mentoring Committee plans on having available resources for both the Mentors and Mentees to help make their match and the program a success, including training for Mentors. We plan to have a Mentors Handbook with guidelines when Mentoring and suggestions for being successful. Our vision for this to be successful is that Mentors do more than just the monthly club meetings with their Mentees.

The Mentoring Committee is also looking into planning events that would either be open to only Mentor-Mentee Matches, or the entire club. So stay tuned and  sign up below.
