No One Left Behind
MVFF has chosen to take a different direction in our continuing (more than 15 years) work with veterans. We have a vision for expanding our program and removing some of the prior restrictions to our programs by administering them independently. The new branding of our effort is No One Left Behind.
We will also maintain our excellent relationship with the Dayton VA and expect to generate referrals from the VA and club members. Additionally, we anticipate our social media outreach will also engage veterans who could benefit from a community that truly embraces fishing and each other. Our commitment to introducing veterans to the healing power of fly fishing is unwavering. We expect No One Left Behind to be a joyful and healing program.

The 2024 MVFF annual trip (September 29th – October 4th) to fish for salmon was another great success! Thirty-four MVFF members took part in this great event on the Pere Marquette near Baldwin, Michigan. Despite low water conditions, we had a great week of outstanding fishing, great food, and good times with friends and storytelling at the Lodge. Our Liars Tally of ‘Fish in the Net’ this year indicated we landed (and released) 225 king salmon, about a dozen brown trout and 8 steelhead. Check out the Facebook Album for this trip at https://facebook.com/MiamiValleyFlyFishers/photos_albums.
